General Code of Conduct:

Respectful Behavior: Students are expected to treat all faculty, staff, fellow students, and visitors with respect and courtesy. This includes avoiding any form of harassment, bullying, or discrimination.

Professional Demeanor: Maintain a professional and disciplined approach within the college premises. This often extends to a dress code (e.g., uniform, formal attire for specific events) as well.

Adherence to Rules and Regulations: Students must abide by all rules and regulations of the institution, including those related to academics, examinations, library use, hostel living (if applicable), and general campus conduct.

Punctuality: Be punctual for classes, examinations, and all college activities.

Identity Cards: Students are generally required to carry and display their college identity cards at all times on campus.

Prohibited Activities:

Ragging: Strict prohibition of ragging in any form. Ragging is a serious offense and is dealt with severely, potentially leading to expulsion and legal action.

Substance Abuse: Smoking, consumption of alcohol, tobacco, and any other intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited within the college premises, including hostels.

Misconduct:

Shouting, whistling, using abusive or offensive language.

Physical assault, fighting, or any form of violence.

Bringing weapons or sharp articles to the institute.

Stealing, misusing, destroying, defacing, or damaging college property.

Inviting outsiders into the college without explicit permission.

Engaging in any activity that disrupts the academic environment or normal functioning of the college.

Mobile Phone Usage: Use of mobile phones during class hours is typically prohibited or strictly restricted.

Malpractice in Examinations: Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or unfair means during examinations is strictly prohibited and will lead to severe academic penalties.

Unauthorized Gatherings/Activities: Organizing or participating in any unauthorized gatherings, protests, or events within the college premises.

Gambling: Gambling in any form is strictly prohibited.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining Cleanliness: Students are expected to help keep the college premises neat and clean.

Proper Use of Facilities: Handle college property, equipment, and laboratory apparatus with care. Damage due to mishandling may result in fines.

Reporting Misconduct: Students may be encouraged to report any instances of indiscipline or misconduct to the appropriate authorities.

The consequences for violating discipline rules can vary depending on the severity of the offense and may include:

Verbal Warning: For minor infractions.

Written Warning: A formal warning documented in the student's record.

Fines: Monetary penalties for certain offenses (as seen in attendance rules).

Suspension: Temporary exclusion from classes and campus activities.

Loss of Privileges: Revocation of access to certain college facilities or activities.

Expulsion: Permanent removal from the institution for serious and repeated offenses.

Legal Action: In cases involving illegal activities or severe damage to property.
